Pretty sad really. A post on facebook said in honor of mom's change profile pic to one of your favorites of you and your mom and keep it until May 9th. Umm, okay, I don’t have one. Okay, so I'm a daddy's girl. Ah, don't scream at me! I've got pics of her in a family group, really I do, but just her and I; guess I have to work on that. However, I do remember a special event in grammer school in which we invited our mom's and sang a special song. So in honor of my mom, and to all mom's everywhere (I hope you remember this, mom), here it is:
(Hey mom, it's the arrow pointing to the right at the bottom of the lyrics, press it. I know, I know "What Arrow?" You'll have to figure it out. I could have had it play automatically but wanted to challenge you). He doesn't sing all the verses but I couldn't find any other version. I typed all the lyrics though. I love you, "Happy Mother's Day"...
You are a wonderful mother, Dear old Mother of mine.
You'll hold a spot down deep in my heart, 'Till the stars no longer shine.
Your soul shall live on forever, On through the fields of time.
For there'll never be another to me, Like that wonderful Mother of mine
The moon never beams without bringing me dreams Of that wonderful mother of mine.
The birds never sing but a message they bring Of that wonderful mother of mine.
Just to bring back the time, that was so sweet to me,
Just to bring back the days, when I sat on her knee.
I pray ev'ry night to our Father above, For that wonderful mother of mine.
I ask Him to keep her as long as He can That wonderful mother of mine.
There are treasures on earth, that make life seem worthwhile,
But there's none can compare to my mother's smile.
